For historic cars

The surface of the vehicle registration number license plate is white, light reflective and with a repetitive safety mark. There is a blue strip on its left edge, and the edging, letters and numbers of the vehicle registration number license plate are black. There is a character of the European Union (EU) and a white distinguishing mark of the Republic of Lithuania “LT” in the blue strip of the vehicle registration number license plate. In the state license plates of the first format, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania - Vytis is displayed between the blue band and the letters. In the license plates of the second, third, fourth and fifth formats, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania - Vytis is depicted above the symbol of the European Union (EU) on the blue band and the white distinguishing mark of the Republic of Lithuania "LT".

 

Historic vehicle registration number license plates can be issued for cars and motorcycles, and their inscriptions are composed by:

  • cars are designated with a letter “H” and five numbers that indicate a serial number;
  • motorcycles are designated with a letter “H” and four numbers that indicate a serial number.

It is important to note that the standard of historic vehicle registration number license plates that is described above has been approved from 3 April 2018.

It should be emphasized that the brown coloured vehicle registration number license plates that have been issued earlier don‘t have to be changed.

The vehicle registration number license plates for historic vehicles are available for the users since 1 July 2014.
